Experience

1988-1993: Niger, VSN (Voluntary National Service) then technical agronomy assistant at the Radio Isotope Institute of Niamey University (Drought resistance of millet programme).

1994: Joined ORSTOM. 1995-2000 Senegal, Plant Ecology Laboratory, Dakar Hann (Arid Zones Research Unit, Acacia tortillis raddiana programme).

2001-2004: Montpellier, Montpellier Functional and Evolution Centre (CLIFA Research Unit, J-P Lhomme).

2005-2009: Thailand, Land Development Department then Khon Kaen University (Stress and hydric relationships of rubber trees).

2010-2016: Montpellier SupAgro (UMR Eco&Sols), Adapting rubber tree cultivation to the climatic constraints in South East Asia.

HDR (Accreditation to supervise research) in June 2014. Elected as member of IRD Ecological System Sciences Commission (2012-2015).

Skills

Analysis of in situ hydric functioning of trees subject to severe climatic stress, quantification of hydric stress and responses, whole plant hydraulics approach, measuring sap flows, carbon water use efficiency.
